A blend of 55% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Meunier. The Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes are sourced from Grands and Premiers Cru vineyards within the villages of La Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs, respectively, while the Meunier is sourced from the best parcels within the Vallée de la Marne.
This cuvée is the true ambassador of the House, expressing the elegance and finesse typical of the Boizel style. Only the first pressing is used from the 30 separate Crus from which we source this cuvée, with 30% of the blend being made of reserve wines. After secondary fermentation, the wine is aged sur lie in our historic chalk cellars beneath Avenue de Champagne for a minimum of 3 years. Our Brut Réserve is expressive, fresh on the nose, and finishes with a seductive, well-balanced texture.
97 points, Platinum – 2020 World Wine Awards, Decanter Magazine: “55% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay, 15% Pinot Meunier. Liquorice aromatic notes with resonant plum and red apple. Deep, exuberant, mouth-filling, vigorous and long, this is an exuberant, vinous Champagne with plenty of richly-textured aromatic lift. Crowd-pleasing but connoisseur-pleasing too.”
