Like the Brut Réserve, the Rosé Réserve is the result of meticulous attention and stands out for its unconventional character. Our Rosé embodies the pillars of complexity, precision, and generosity.
Complexity: 80% of the year’s wines are composed of equal parts Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier, while 20% is comprised of reserve wines made of a 50/50 split of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Each cru is vinified separately, varietal by varietal, in stainless steel tanks.
Precision: To ensure the ideal balance of freshness and elegance, matched with structure and complexity, the reserve wines that are selected are typically younger, giving way to these layers. The red reserve wines are sourced from the best Pinot Noir vineyards and aged up to 5 years before being integrated into the Rosé.
Generosity: 5-6% of the wine is vinified into a red, which provides hearty tannins and the intense aromas and fragrance of red fruits. This is the base that contributes to the stunning color and full, voluptuous texture of the rosé.
93 points, William Kelley, Robert Parker Wine Advocate: “The new release of Heidsieck's NV Rosé Réserve is based on the 2012 vintage, with the usual 20% of reserve wines and some 6% still red wine from Les Riceys in the Aube. Already exhibiting considerable complexity, it wafts from the glass with scents of orange rind, red plums, gingerbread and red berries. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, satiny textured and fleshy, with lively acids and an attractively vinous profile. It was disgorged a few months ago with 11 grams per liter dosage..”
