This vintage is a bit riper and more complex, driven by spiced apple and more flesh-driven pear notes. The acidity is a great compliment to the silky texture that lends you to want to drink it now with a little decanting and can be great for the cellar and will continue to develop over the next few years. This is the vintage to unite lovers of White Burgundy and California Chardonnay at one table.
93 Points, William Kelley, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - "The 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru La Perrière Blanc offers up attractive aromas of fresh Anjou pear, wet stones, lemon oil, red apples and pastry cream. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, tangy and incisive, with an elegantly textural attack and a notably chalky, phenolic profile that this cuvée always seems to display. It's a singular wine that is well worth seeking out."
