Few consumers know that Sekt (sparkling wine) is very traditional in Germany and we have been producing this style of wine for over 20 years. It is made in the traditional methode champenoise where the primary fermentation is completed in stainless steel tanks, followed by a secondary bottle fermentation and maturation for about six months
"Extra Brut" refers to the level of dosage or sugar added to the wine, which in this designation has about 50% of the sugar used in a classic "Brut" style. The fruit for our sparkling wines is sourced from a neighboring parcel to our Gräfenberg VDP Grosse Lage vineyard, creating a dry, mineral-driven bubbly with a silky, creamy mousse of lemon, lime and tangerine flavors. The finish offers a complex nutty, brioche note due to the lees maturation. This is a wine not just for celebrations, but for a variety of food pairings including oysters and sashimi!
