A small slice of perfection from very old vines in "the Richebourg of the Mosel", this unique vineyard site has 100% south-facing red slate soil and an extraordinarily warm microclimate, yielding wines of unequaled power and nobility and producing extraordinarily ripe, deeply flavored fruit to result in beautiful rich and complex wines
Grape varieties50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc, 7% Petit Verdot
Press Notes:
The Prälat GG is made from very old ungrafted vines. This offers a still quite shy nose of yellow fruits, pineapple, citrus and almond. The wine is stunningly refined and delicate on the palate and the finish is playful and long. This could turn into quite a cracker of a wine if the subtle side of the wine wins over the natural power of Prälat at maturity. 2019-2029. (91-93+ Points) Mosel Fine Wines
